October 2015 – April 2016
Client: City of Tea Tree Gully
The City of Tea Tree Gully engaged Seed to review its Climate Change Action Plan 2010-2020 (CCAP).
The plan seeks to reduce emissions by 40%, based on the City’s 2006/07 emissions level. The plan was at mid-cycle in 2015, and the City was keen to ensure targets and actions were relevant for the second half of the action plan.
Seed reviewed all relevant federal and state climate change literature to ensure the CCAP’s targets and strategies were still relevant for the remaining period of the plan.
Seed engaged with Council employees, executive and elected members to help Council consider achievable workplace actions relevant to the CCAP, develop business cases and prioritise these actions.
City of Tea Tree Gully now has clearly costed priority actions to assist it in achieving its emissions reductions targets.
The process has been aligned with the Resilient East climate change adaptation planning process.
