Resilient Hills and Coasts Regional Climate Change Adaptation Plan

July 2015 – current
Client: Alexandrina Council
The Resilient Hills and Coasts project, undertaken by Seed Consulting Services together with urban and regional planners URPS, involves developing a climate change adaptation plan for the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island region, covering six councils, three National Resource Management boards and a Regional Development Australia region.
Working through a process of regional profiling, vulnerability assessment and adaptation pathways analysis, the project involves developing practical adaptation measures that address emerging climate risks and opportunities for the region.
Subject matter experts and key influencers from across the region have been engaged in the project, including mayors and CEOs of the region’s councils. In total, the project has seen the delivery of nine workshops, attended by over 150 people.
